Friends from the road!

Pray for these folks that I was privileged to meet and share with on the road!  Reach out and share with someone yourself.  As a friend challenged me, "Love them like Jesus"!

2010

Atlanta Airport, GA (3/12/10) - Vicki and Sean.  Sean is on his way to visit his brother in Las Vegas.  His brother is stationed at Nellis AFB.  Vicki teaches Sunday School and is very active.  We had a great talk, her son is really sharp.  Truly enjoyed being with these folks.

Atlanta Airport, GA (3/12/10) - LeeAnn works for FEMA.  Pray for her, she travels a lot for her job.  Shared a table with her in ATL airport during lunch.

Anaheim, CA (3/7/10) - Jose asked that we pray for his 18 month old daughter Ashleigh.  Pray that she grows to be a great woman of God and that her family will be saved if they don't know Christ.  Thanks.

Covington, VA (3/7/10) - Pray for Lisa, very busy lady.  She asked for strength and time management.  She was extremely busy the day we were with her.

Covington, VA (3/7/10) - Pray for the Martins, good folks in Covington who are working with young folks there.  They are bringing a group to the Creation Museum some time soon.  They tried to bring them a few weeks ago and got snowed out.  Really good young folks there, had a good time with them.

Covington, VA (3/6/10) - Pray for the Boy's Home.  Great young men who've got tough backgrounds.  Pray for the teachers and young men both.  They are doing a great job there and I really appreciate what they're doing.

Lexington, VA (3/5/10) - Gretta blessed me.  She asked that we pray for her family and then prayed with us.  This was very special because I had a friend with me that I don't know has ever seen anyone pray like that before.  Lift Gretta up, she was an encouragement.

Lexington, VA (3/6/10) - Dee asked that we pray for her and her husband.  They are going through a divorce at the moment.  I'd ask that you pray the Holy Spirit would work a miracle in their lives and get their focus on Him so that the issues between them can be worked out!  A friend of mine gave me a great quote.  "If we focus on storms we will always wonder if God loves us. If we focus on the cross we will always know."

Lexington, VA (3/5/10) - Rebeccah asked that we pray for her finances.  Times are tough, a lot of good people are working real hard to make ends meet.

Knoxville, TN (3/4/10) - Pray for Charles, I picked him up while he was hitchhiking.  Needs the Lord, bad.  Girlfriend is messing around with candles and crystals.  He's moving in with her.  Very lost young man!  Pray that we'll be able to get in touch and the Holy Spirit will open his eyes!  Sad situation.

Burlington, KY (3/3/10) - Pray for Sarah, she just moved into a new house.  I also invited her to come to the Cration Museum.  Pray she'll be able to bring her children and that the Lord would bless her time there by drawing them to Himself.

Chicago, IL (3/2/10) - Unspoken request for a dear friends son.  Pray the Lord will work this situation out and bring great glory to Himself!

Jackson, MI (3/1/10) - Please pray for the 300 plus young folks that I had the privilege to speak to at Jackson Christian School!  Spoke 5 times throughout the day.  One class asked that I continue even when the class time was up.  We ended up going 15 minutes over, with the teachers approval of course.  Very encouraging.  Again, we need these young men and women to be bold, shining lights in this dark culture reaching out to their peers.

Grand Rapids, MI (2/28/10) - Please pray for the 200 plus young folks that came to the special meeting at Randy's house.  Pray these young folks will be bold witnesses for the Lord.  Especially pray for one young man who came up and talked with me who is NOT a Christian.  He told me that he was really thinking as a result of the talk though and wanted more information.  Pray the Holy Spirit will draw this young man to Himself and make him an amazing witness.

Grand Rapids, MI (2/27/10) - Rebeccah asked that we pray for her aunt who is sick. Really hard worker who also works with handicapped children.  Pray for her with those special needs children as well.  What a tough job.

Jackson, MI (2/22/10) - Barbara asked that we pray for her to grow stronger in her relationship with the Lord.  I invited her to come to the speaking event and pray that she'll attend.  If not, ask that the Lord would put in her path friends that challenge her in her faith and that the Holy Spirit encourages her to grow.

Hebron, KY  (2/22/10) - Personal prayer request!!!  My son-in-law, Bobby, just finished his training and certification as an EMT.  He's been a firefighter for a while and is now transitioning into the new position.  He's already hired.  This is a praise for sure.  He worked REALLY hard to finish his training and we're proud of him.  Pray the Lord will use him in this tough environment to be a bright shining light for the Lord Jesus Christ.  They see a LOT of ugly things, I'd sincerely appreciate your prayers for him.

Chicago, IL (2/21/10) - A friend asked that we pray for his son, who's very solid in his faith, who's going through a big challenge at the moment.  An unspoken request!  God knows though, thank you very much.

Jackson, MI (2/21/10) - Patti had no specific requests.  Told us she was a person of prayer also and that everything is going well.  I'd just ask that we pray that she's not only a person of prayer, but a person with a relationship with Jesus.

Jackson, MI (2/21/10) - Nicole asked that we pray for her to do well in school.  She's studying business at U of M.

Jackson, MI (2/20/10) - Kristin asked that we pray for her family.  We invited her to come to the meetings, pray she would attend while we're up here.

Hebron, KY  (2/19/10) - Bob, (update from prayer request on 2/16) called and we had a great conversation.  He feels the Lord is leading him to start a ministry to help those who are struggling with the loss of loved ones.  He asked if I had any ideas etc.  I directed him to a couple of ministries that are doing some good work.  Pray the Lord will make it clear what He wants Bob to do and then give Bob the wisdom what direction to go!  Very encouraging to hear from Bob and see just how much a simple conversation has encouraged him.  SPEAK OUT, you'll be so encouraged that you did!

Denver, CO (2/19/10) - Brian is a good man who is a pilot for United Airlines.  He's getting close to retirement and asked that we pray for him to know the right time to leave.  He's already invovled in Creation Ministry so he'll be transitioning to more ministry.  Lift him up, he's a good man.

Hebron, KY, (2/16/10) - My wife and I went looking for some carpet to put in a room in our basement.  Went to Home Depot, got some ideas.  Then stopped at a tiny store on our way home.  There we met Bob, nice man, really made us feel at ease because he asked good questions and found the carpet that I think really fits our needs and budget.  As we were checking out we just got into a "conversation".  This was a divine appointment.  Bob is a Christian who is hurting right now.  He lost his daughter last December I think it was.  She had met a guy who's family is hooked on Oxycotton???.  He got her started taking this and it cost her her life.  His mother is struggling with lung cancer and he had been layed off from work, so things are coming hot and heavy at him.  Masami and I could pray for him and just encourage him.  It's very easy to say, I know, but these things actually prepare us to be able to offer hope to others.  Sometimes the only way to get through these times is to let the Lord carry us.  It was a real blessing to just spend time and encourage this brother.  Please pray, he's struggling with being able to forgive the young man who got his daughter hooked on the drugs.  Pray that the Lord would use him to reach this young man with the saving knowlege of Jesus Christ.  Thank you for praying.

Florence, KY, (2/16/10) - Ken, my boss is doing a very important meeting tonight that will have a LOT of folks listening and watching.  Please pray the Lord will bless him and give him clarity of thought and alertness to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Decatur, AL, (2/15/10) - Holly asked that we pray for her grand-daughter Courtney.  She's been raising her for a while now, bad story.  She was a really sweet lady and we were able to encourage her I think.  Before we took off I was able to give her some children's books for Courtney.  She nearly started crying.  Seemed like a tiny thing!  You just never know what folks are going through and to be able to encourage someone like that, well, it's just a blessing.  Please pray for her.

Decatur, AL, (2/14/10) - Jessica asked that we pray for her family.  She didn't elaborate and we didn't get a chance to really ask any further questions.

Tupelo, MS, (2/12/10)

Dr. and Mrs. Moore - What a gentleman!  He prays an hour a day for folks, by name, including Masami and I.  What a blessing.  His wife has very bad arthritis and couldn't come to dinner.  She's been suffering with this since the 90's.  He didn't complain at all and didn't even ask that we pray for him or her.  I'm asking!  Please lift this dear couple up in prayer.  She's only left the house twice this winter since the cold really bothers her.  Sweet folks.

Elizabeth and her Grandmother Norene -  Norene has a blood clot and they thought they were going to have to operate.  She raised Elizabeth, who we met and asked that we pray for her grandmother.  Elizabeth was a very sweet young lady.  I ask that you'd pray for her as well.  Her grandmother obviously meant a LOT to her.

Cecelia - Sweet lady, asked that we pray for her family and the snow storm that is headed for Tupelo!

Indiana, (2/10/10)

Kurt, Carol and Family - They are looking for a new church.  Pray the Lord will lead them to a good place that preaches the Word of God.

Thailand, (2/9/10)

Mike, and Family - Mike is the first person that I shared with that came to the Lord.  We fell out of contact because he was moved to Okinawa and I stayed in Salt Lake City.  Years later we got back in touch and he blessed me with where the Lord has taken him.  He's now retired from the USAF, where we met, and is a full-time missionary to Thailand.  He sent me this update and I wanted to share it with you, it's so encouraging.  Thanks for praying for this dear man and his family.  If you'd like you can go to his website to follow their ministry.

Praise the Lord. I mentioned some potential good news in a previous mailing and wanted to share with an answer to prayer.  Dtom, who we have been praying to be saved for many years, has been saved!  She has been struggling for some time about salvation.  As a word of encouragement, she shared with me that she had been to church when she was a child and always knew the truth of the gospel because of the stories she heard as a child.  We are privileged to be able to reap what someone planted many years ago.  Perhaps today there is a dejected Christian worker who feels that their ministry is in vain and yet their work has born fruit.  Please pray for her as she is planning to be baptized on the 28th of February.  On another note, we will be holding our first Bible Institute graduation in March when Sakhorn will be recognized.  He has diligently studied for about 4 years and we are excited about the next chapter in his life and how the Lord will lead and continue to prepare him.

Florence, KY

Stacy and her mom - (2/9/10) - They just got back  from a cheerleading contest.  She asked for prayer for their family.

Rob - (2/7/10) - Rob asked that we just pray for him.  Initially asked that we pray for the Colts to win the Superbowl, that wasn't happening.  Gave me the chance to joke around with him though.  Any prayers appreciated he said so, lift him up.  I'd ask that you pray he accept the offer to visit the Creation Museum.  Blessings.

Columbus, OH

Nicole - (2/5/10) - Nicole was our waitress.  Sweet young lady who just asked that we pray for her, nothing specific.  We didn't really get a chance to speak with her.

Florence, KY

Pastor Mike - (2/4/10) - I should have lifted Pastor Mike up a while ago.  He's my pastor and I love him dearly.  Each of us should lift up our Pastor in prayer on a regular basis.  They deal with so much I just can't imagine how they do it.  Only through the grace and strength of God I would imagine.

Dick S. - (2/3/10) - Dick's wife, Patty, is VERY sick.  It looks as if the Lord is going to call her home at anytime.  Please lift Dick up, he's a good man and this is very difficult for him.  She's been struggling with cancer for a while now.

Temporary Workers - (2/3/10) - We have a number of temporary workers at the ministry who are doing a LOT of work.  They've been sitting in on our morning devotionals.  I don't know what their spiritual health is like, please pray that they Lord will draw them to Himself if they don't know Him or encourage them if they do know Him.  I'd also ask that you pray they are able to find full-time work.  I can only imagine how many folks are struggling to take care of their families, bills etc. in this economy.  Lots of folks need prayers here.  Blessings.

Tammy  (2/2/10) - Tammy asked that we pray for her new job!  Things are going well for her and she is encouraged.  Pray that she'll take me up on the offer to come visit the Creation Museum as well.

Schaumburg, IL

Migeul  (1/23/10) - He asked that we pray for his son that will be born shortly.  He seemed to be very touched that we would lift him up in prayer.  There are some problems that he didn't go into but I can tell you he was genuine in his request.  Thanks for praying!

Pittsburgh, PA

Sheila  (1/22/10) - Sheila is one of the hardest working ladies I've ever had the privilege of meeting.  She had heart surgery on Monday.  Her health took a bad downturn and now she's in critical condition.  Her major prayer is that her daughters come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour.  I'd also ask for healing for Sheila.  She's a truly sweet lady.

Somewhere in Indiana, K&R BBQ

David Hames  (1/22/10) - This is from a dear friend, Jobe Martin.  Please join us in prayer for a miracle that David Hames (the actor/host in the “Incredible Creatures That Defy Evolution" series) is still alive under the rubble of Hotel Montana in Haiti and that he will be rescued. It is possible that he still had bottles of water in his backpack when trapped; his friend was pulled alive from near where David was suppose to be 60 hours after the quake. For more information, Google David Hames in Haiti without quotation marks. He has a wife, Renee, and two boys ages 3 and 5.  (Thank you!)

Somewhere in Indiana, K&R BBQ

Airplane to Cincy

Christian (1/22/10) - Young man that I sat next too.  On his way from Brazil back home.  Polite young man, didn't really get a chance to speak a lot.  His i-Pod was in his ears as soon as allowed and slept a lot.  Long trip from Brazil!  Did try to encourage him.

Miami, FL

Richard and his friend (1/19/10) - Met him tonight.  He's driven from California all throughout the US finally to Miami looking for work.  Found out 2 hours ago that he's got a job.  Pray for them as they start this new job.  Very sad to see folks that want to work and not be able to do so.  He's got a wife and family with him as well.  They were so excited about being able to work.  Don't take your job for granted!

Marko Island, FL

Richard (1/16/10) - Another amazing opportunity.  Over dinner we asked Richard how we could pray for him.  He asked for his health.  He then stayed and held hands with us as we prayed over dinner and for him.  Pray for his salvation if he's not saved.  We didn't get to speak deeply with him.  He wanted to stay and pray with us though.  As a minimum pray he's encouraged and emboldened to share his faith if he is a Christian or that the Lord would open his eyes to the truth if he's not saved.  Blessings.

Naples, FL

Rob (1/16/10) -  WOW!  Awesome conversation!  Rob was our waiter at lunch, born again Christian.  Asked that we pray for his mother, who is a walking miracle.  Also asked that we pray for him.  He lost his fiancee about 6 months ago when she died only 4 days after being diagnosed with cancer.  Very rapid and very traumatic for him.  He's grounded but, it still hurts.  We talked for almost 20 minutes with Rob, so encouraging.  Pray that we were an encouragement to him as well.

Fort Myers, FL

Robert (1/16/10) - Picked up the rental car from him.  As we were leaving had a very short conversation.  He asked if we were there to fish and I said that I was there to preach and fish for men.  He asked that we pray for his people.  He's Haitian.  I told him we would.  He asked if I had any information.  I'm so embarrassed.  I usually have some booklets, today, NONE!  Zach, the young man with me pulled out his Bible and we gave it to him.  I also gave him my email.  Pray for his salvation, protection for the folks in Haiti, and that he'd get in touch so that I can follow up.  I wanted so badly to continue our conversation but there were cars behind us.   AAARGH!  PLEASE PRAY!

Laura - Emily (1/14/10) - These are two of the sweetest young ladies that you will ever meet.  They are starting a new business.  Pray the Lord would bless them in amazing ways, beyond anything they can ever imagine.  Pray the Lord will be glorified through this new business/ministry!!!

Red Wing, MN

Heather (1/9/10) - Alexandria, Justin and ???? ( I forgot her last child's name, forgive me.).  She asked that we pray that her children wouldn't get sick this year.  Man, it's cold in Minnesota, I can see why they're getting sick!!!!  Pray for Heather as well please.

Minneapolis, MN

Dana (1/8/10) - Dana asked that we pray for her family who are all sick.  I'd also ask that you pray for her.  She was very kind and very surprised for the prayers.  Pray she'll take me up on the free book/DVD offer.

Bernerd (1/4/10) - Bernerd is a brother of a man that I have the privilege of working with.  He's had a number of heart attacks over the last two days and only has a 10% chance of survival.  Pray for Paul (brother) and for Bernard and his wife.  Pray that if he doesn't know the Lord that before he's called home he'd know the Lord for sure.  Same for his wife.  If full recovery is the Lord's will that'd be awesome as well.  May the Lord be glorified in whatever outcome.

Kuttawa Youth Group (1/2/10) - Had an awesome meeting with 43 folks from the Kuttawa Youth Group in Western Kentucky.  They are doing the Demolishing Strongholds curriculum that I was blessed to be a part of.  They visited the Creation Museum and I had a chance to visit with them.  Pray these young folks will be bold with their faith.  It was great to see how much they had gleaned from their visit.  Now pray they take and put this new knowledge to use and share their faith more now than ever before.

2009

Michael (12/26) - Pray for Michael, serious problems with the vertebre in his neck.  Pray the doctors can figure out what to do to help alleviate the constant pain that he's in.  Pray the he can also deal with this pain an be an effective witness for Christ in spite of the headaches etc.

Jill, Sarah and Mary (12/26) - They are dear friends who life in Georgia.  They were just in a car accident.  This is from Rick, the husband and father.  "They were getting off at our interchange and turning towards our home when a guy in a Ford F150 hit them in the side, running the red light.  If they had been a split second slower, he would have hit them in the two doors, likely causing very serious injuries to my daughters.  Instead, he hit them in the left rear wheel doing little damage to our car.  It likely totaled his pickup caving the entire front end in.  It spun my girls around 90 degrees.  Jill has some whiplash and Mary's left elbow got a mild contusion

Carl, me, (12/23) - I just found out that I will be on TBN in March with Kirk Cameron when he hosts a show.  He was very kind in asking me to be on the show with him.  Pray for this please.  As I'm sure you're aware I'm VERY nervous about this!  Thank you for praying for this as well as all of the other folks here.

Baton Rouge, LA

Brittany (12/13) - Pray that she and her daughter have a good relationship and that she's able to raise her to have a relationship with Christ.  (She didn't ask for the second part, that's from me.  She just wanted to have a good relationship with her daughter.  We know that without a good relationship with Christ, these earthly relationships will never amount to much.)

Millville, NJ

Robin (12/6) - She was caught off-guard by the request.  It was a little funny.  She said, "I would take all day with everything that I've got!"  I was like, well, I don't speak until 7 pm tonight!  Finally she asked we pray for her family, lots of issues there.  It's really sad to see so many families that are broken.  We really need the Holy Spirit to do an amazing work in our lives, there is so much hurt in the culture.  We can let these "hurts" destroy us or "draw us" closer to Christ and in the process make us more effective to reach others who are hurting.  Stay bold.

Nicole (12/5) - She didn't have a specific request so we prayed for her health and she appreciated it.  Pray that she might come to the website and or the meeting tomorrow night.

Geneva (11/29) - Wow!  Great conversation with Geneva.  She asked that we pray for her because she's trying to make changes in her life and get back on the 'straight and narrow', so to speak.  At the end of the meal Pastor Jerry was able to really engage her in some good conversation.  Pray the Lord would lead her to Pastor Jerry's church, or at a minimum a good Bible teaching church, and that she'd take me up on the offer to show her around the Creation Museum.

In The Philippines

Billy (10/25)
- This kind young man waited on us tonight.  We were given the privilege to pray for his family as well who has been impacted by the recent floods.  Pray for Billy's family and for Billy.  He was a genuine, kind young man.  Pray the Lord will raise him up as a mighty warrior for Christ!

Mia (10/24)
- She was our waitress last night and asked that we pray for her family.  She was very shy.  Pray that the Lord would not only bless her family but, would bless her as well.

Carmen (10/23)
- Yes, another Carmen.  This dear lady is in the care of the other Carmen.  She can no longer walk and is basically bed ridden.  She worked for 30 years as a social working in New York and has no family.  I was given the privilege of praying with her while visiting the other Carmen.  Truly touched my heart.  Pray for this dear saint.

Carmen (10/23)
- This dear lady is running a home to take care of elderly patients who can no longer take care of themselves.  The two people she has in her care at the moment don't have family that can even help them.  She has an amazing servant heart and is truly helping those that have NOTHING! Pray for support, spiritually and financially for this dear woman.

Jerry & Donna (10/19-20)
- The Laytons are missionaries to Iloilo, Philippines.  They are transitioning to a new phase of their ministry and turning over part of what they've been doing to Victor.  Please pray this transition goes well, Victor has amazing insight from the Lord on how to do his job and the Laytons have a clear understaning of what it is the Lord has in store for them in this new phase of their ministry.

Hen (10/18)
- The host couple that I'm staying with took me to dinner after speaking.  This is a place the frequent every Sunday they said.  As we sat down they talked about how they should ask the waiter, Jeff, if we could pray for him.  The timing just didn't work with him but, when Hen brought the food out Marge asked him how we could pray for him.  Again, surprise on his part but, after a little thought he asked for "peace of mind and health".  They see him a lot and will be able to follow up with him.  Jeff they had never seen before.  My prayer is that they'll be able to establish a relationship with Hen and bring him to the Lord.  Lift Jon and Marge up as well to be used by the Lord to reach this young man.

Karen (10/18)
- She was also surprised.  You can tell no one has done this sort of thing here in the Philippines.  After a minute or so she asked for prayer for her family as well.  I asked if they had been impacted by the flooding.  She laughed and said "No!"  "The water only got to their knees, their other friends water was over their head so we're fortunate."  You'd be surprised at the resilience of the people here.  They're talking about the tragedies that are taking place and they're laughing!  Very interesting to see "take joy is distresses" being lived out!  I asked her to come to the speaking event as well.  Pray she comes tomorrow.

Noel (10/17)
- He was also surprised when we asked if we could pray for him.  He asked for prayer for his family who have been impacted by the flooding.  Also invited him to the speaking event.  I wasn't able to follow up with him at the end of the dinner which I like to do because another waiter took his place.  I'm assuming his shift ended because we didn't see Noel anymore after the initial order.  Pray for his salvation as well.

Cyr (10/17)
- He was pretty surprised when we asked if we could pray for him.  He just laughed but, we told him we were serious so he then asked for prayer for the Philippines.  He stood with us while we prayed.  I also invited him to come to the speaking event, pray that he comes there or at least gets involved with a good Bible teaching church.

- He's in Tokyo for two weeks writing his thesis which will deal with how "blacks" are seen in Japan.  I asked him to give me his finding when he's done if he would.  Talked with him a little about our "one blood" message.  Very nice young man.

Patti (10/11)
- She lit up when I asked if we could pray for her.  "Of course!"  I asked her for something specific and she, without missing a beat she said, "My children Jaretta and Joshua."  She really appreciated the prayer and was a huge encouragement.

Kesha (10/11)
- She's pregnant and asked that we pray for her unborn child.  Pray that she comes to the meetings as well, I invited her.  She was unable for Sunday because she was working a double shift.  Pray she comes to the meeting on the 12th.

Rose (10/10)
- Another prayer for her family.  Amazing response to the request though.  She asked if we were serious because she though we were joking.  I told her I never joke about prayer.  She then asked that we please pray for her family.  Gave her my contact info as well so that I can send her something if she wants to contact me.

Bermuda

Marie (10/8)
- Requested we pray for her family in the Philippines.  She just got back from visiting her family and left before the flooding from the typhoons.  I told her that I'd be over there shortly.  She's going to tell her family to visit me while I'm there.

Laticia (10/6)
- Requested that I pray for her family.  Amazing change in countenance when we asked her if we could pray for her.  When we started praying for her she actually came over from the counter to listen in to the prayer.  Pray the Lord opens her heart to Himself as well.

Newport, KY

Jennifer (9/25)
- Neat lady.  She asked that we pray for her and then JOINED us.
That's only the fourth time in over 10 years of praying for servers
that's happened.  After the meal she asked where we went to church and
shared how her family is very faithful in going to church and that she
had just recently started going to church herself.  I had the chance to
encourage her to keep her focus on Jesus and not the church.  He's
perfect, not us.  Please pray she'll find that body of Christ that God
wants her to be a part of and she'll grow strong and bold in the Lord
there.

Erlanger, KY

Casey (9/22)
- Didn't have anything for us to pray for.  Just pray that she'll take

friends as my guest.

Frankenmuth, MI

Stephanie (9/21) - Pray for her family.

Josh (9/21)
- Went to church as a young man, graduated from a Christian College and
now has nothing to do with the Church.  Pray the Holy Spirit will show
him that the "church" isn't where we need to put our faith.  We need to
focus on Jesus Christ.

Doug (9/20) - Asked that we pray he have a 'good day'.  He has been around the church in the past, not active now.  I'd ask that you pray the Holy Spirit draw him to Himself.

this work that LOVES the Lord and takes the conversation even further
than what I had the opportunity to do.
