Friends from the road!

Pray for these folks that I was privileged to meet and share with on the road! Reach out and share with someone yourself. As a friend challenged me, "Love them like Jesus"!

Annadale, VA - Multiple request spelled out below:
Pastor Dirk - Got a great heart! He wants prayers on knowing how to motivate his folks to get out and share their faith. Please pray the Lord gives him wisdom and great, unique creative ability to reach out.
Over 80 students from 10 years of age to 21. We took them through the Smithsonian and pointed out the differences between the biblical worldview and the evolutionary worldview then showed the what the actual evidence was. The responses were absolutely huge. Pray for these young folks to get engaged in sharing with their friends. Many spoke of how they were now going to start taking people through the museum themselves. I go back in March and am going to take a very small group through and teach them how to teach. Prayers greatly appreciated.
Jamie - Asked that we pray for his college work. He's taking business in the local college and actually stayed with us while we prayed for him. Of course, pray for salvation for Jamie as well.
James - Pray for salvation. We had a chance to visit with him late while eating dinner. Very quiet and not real responsive. We gave him our contact info and shared with him and he took that. Pray the Lord will work on his heart and draw him to Himself.
Jordan - He's a 16 year old, godly young man. Pray the Lord will give him real clarity on the ministry that He is calling Jordan too. It's a real encouragement to see young me like this excited about their faith.
Steven - Pray the Lord will make His ministry path clear for Steven. Ask that God will provide the resources necessary for him to accomplish what the Lord wants him to do as well. He's in a relationship with a godly young lady as well so ask that Lord to make that clear for him.
THANK YOU FOR PRAYING!
Tulsa, OK - Another person that I ran into that I'd ask you to pray for. Here's the email. "Hey Carl - We met you last Friday at the Museum before your talk about keeping teens in church. We then visited with you following your presentation. We are the couple from Oklahoma, Clayton and Maria.
You
mentioned you are speaking in Owassa in November and it's not far from
where we live. We would like to visit with you more about your heart's
message, strategy, etc. I have had a burden to share a very similar
message and would love to spend some time gleaning, preparing, being
sharpened ... being a Timothy, if you will.
I am 33, just moved to Tulsa. Was a youth pastor for 7 years, public school educator
for 5 years, ran a secular homeless program for a year and a half ...
and the state of the church is a heavy burden on my heart. Since we just
got married, I moved to Tulsa with my wife and currently don't have a
job and I am praying about next steps.
We are continuing
praying about next steps for us, but if it seems right to you and works
into your schedule while you are in Oklahoma, we'd love to take you out
for a meal.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Clayton"
Carpentersville, IL - Got a request in from Dina. "I was asking you to please pray, if and when God brings it to your remembrance, that God would grant me His boldness and stregth to share the gospel with all He brings in my path.
That He would give me wisdom and courage to begin conversations concerning Him for the lost.
Thank you,
Dina"
Marblehead, OH - Pray Louise and her son Adam. Adam had to change schools because of other students picking on him. Pray the Lord will help him to fit in and excel in his new setting. Pray the Lord draws them to Himself as well.
Kelley's Island, OH - Pray for the families that I had the chance to speak on Kelley's Island last week. Had amazing responses. There were families struggling as well. One families daughter ran away. Numerous have children who have walked away from the Lord. Please pray for them.
Indiana - Please pray for some friends of mine. See their email below.
Prayers and help needed
Dear friends and family,
We are going to need a lot of help over the next 3 weeks. For those of you who have not yet heard, Kurt & Arlene were in a car accident Thursday morning. Arlene has a lot of bruises, and Kurt has a hairline fracture in his lower left leg. They did a CT scan on Kurt’s leg and we go back to talk to the Dr. Monday morning before Kurt goes to work. The car is totaled.
We are praising God that the car took the brunt of the impact and their injuries are minor in comparison.
(I know some of you live too far away to help with our daily needs, but please pray!)
On to the help part. Kurt will be unable to drive for a few weeks, so I am asking you to prayerfully consider how you can bless us during this crazy time in our lives. We are asking for help in 3 ways.
We need prayer. Lots of it. Kurt and Arlene both have a lot of healing to do, we may have bills that aren’t covered by the car insurance, Kurt will need a lot of mercy and grace at work from his co-workers, and bosses, and I will be driving back and forth to Muncie twice a day, plus Dr. visits. This is the tip of the iceberg, but it gives you a place to start.
Thank you in advance for your love, prayers, and help!
Carol

Florence, KY - Please pray for Peter R. - The bus ministry I work with at my church back home had taken a group of over 20 unchurch kids to camp and were on their way home when the bus rolled. 9 of the kids were sent to the hospital, 1 of them was air lifted. Most of the families the parents are unsaved.

He's back at work now at a reduced rate. She has to work, take care of the home and homeschool. She's feeling overwhelmed, no doubt! Pray the Lord will make it clear what direction they need to take. They want to open a home business to help make ends meet. It's so hard. There are a LOT of families like this! Pray for wisdom, thank you.

You are a inspiration in spreading the truth about our LORD. Personaly I have my first speaking engagement coming up on the 17th of July at a Methodist Church mens breakfast in Tifton Ga. The Lord has me show "Already Gone" and some facts about fossils, dating and millions of years. At the end I will present the tools and resources that are available. (Dvd's, Answer books, Pocket answer booklets, basically the stuff you sell. Here is my question. Would AIG be willing to provide materials that people could purchase the some way did when you came toTampa? I would send the money and supplies back to you afterwards. I understand this is a stretch but I felt in the spirit to asked. Please pray about this and let me know.
Jesus Rocks,
Peter
(I did, and here's his response.)
Will be on way way to Tifton this Friday and speaking Saturday. Also Kathy will have supplies send to me as well. Thank you for your help and prayers.

South Hampton, UK - Please pray for Ben. He's an elderly gentleman who's on his way to be a missionary in Venezuala. He wanted my 'Best Evidence' talk in Spanish very badly. I told him to take the material and for him to do the talk himself. That's more powerful than showing a video anyway. Pray he will be able to reach many with his service.
Arkansas (I think!) - I forget where Brad lives. He just sent me an email though about their new son Asa Christopher Daniel H., he weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz.. and was born June 14 at 7:47am. From Brad, "The nurse said we should have named him Boeing! This one looks to be an easy sleeper! Hooray! Now if we can just get his 6 year old brother to go to bed at night!" Please lift them up, they are great folks.
Worthing, UK - Please pray for Anne. We stayed with her after speaking at her church. She has fostered 28 children and currently has 2 of them in her home. This is a lady that is doing so much for the kingdom of God. You can't believe the stories she has of these young men that she's has sponosored over the years. Some really tough situation. Yet, she still has the brightest smile and cheeriest attitude I've seen in a long time.

Flight to London - Please pray for Mr. Lee. He lives in Athens Georgia and sat next to me on the flight to England. He's a Chinese man and I struggled with his accent, sorry. We had a short conversation about faith. Pray the Lord puts somebody in his path that speaks Chinese and can share boldy with him.
Flight to Atlanta - Sat next to a Sharon. She's written 30 books. Had a really good
conversation with her. Her 32 year old son just got saved and his life
is having a big witness to her. She told me she's going to come and
visit the museum when here family comes and visits later on in the
year. She also wants to write a series of books for young folks with a
Christian theme. Pray the Lord gives her wisdom to do something that
will truly impact young folks in their faith with these books.
Jacksonville, FL - Please pray for Jennifer! What a bright light. As Neal and I checked into the hotel I noticed the book she was reading and asked her what she was studying. This led to a great conversation. She's a student taking a class from a teacher who's a Marxist. She's a conservative Christian and feeling the pressure from not conforming. Neal and I tried to encourage her and gave her some material. Truly encouraging conversation. She's in a dark world and needs God's people to lift her up. Pray that she'll be a spotlight in the darkness that surrounds her. This is so important, thank you! This younger generation needs the prayers of God's people to be bold witnesses to their peers. Blessings.
Jacksonville, FL - Please pray for Lidia. She served us over lunch. She's from Hungary and hasn't seen her family in 10 years. Pray she'll be able to be with them soon. Pray for Hungary as a country, it's on the bring of going broke. If Lidia doesn't know the Lord pray He will draw her to Himself so she can be a witness to her family in this challenging time.
Jacksonville, FL - Please pray for Anthony. He came to the church that I'm speaking at 2 weeks ago because his mother made him. He was homeschooled in a Christian family and has rejected the Bible. Only goes to church because his mother made him. Pastor told him that I was coming to speak at the church and he got excited. Not in a positive way. Sounds as if he wants to argue. Pray the Lord will give me wisdom and patience and a heart that loves this young man as much as the Lord loves him. Pray the Lord will open his eyes and heart to God's wisdom and not mine. Thank you very much.
Hebron, KY - Please pray for Candace, Lee, Isabelle and Anna, they just got back from the Philippines. They were visiting family there, but now they've got to recoup.

Pray that the Lord would already be preparing opportunities to for us to grow in our service. Pray the Lord would give me wisdom to pour into this young man as well. Thank you.
Harrison, OH - Pray for my friend Ri.F., he's got a competition coming up and he's had quite a few injuries as he's trained. Pray the Lord will use him as an amazing witness. Pray that he wins the phsical battle, but more importantly the spiritual battle. He's in a pretty dark culture.
Flight from Tampa to Cincy - Please pray for Kevin, we had a really nice conversation. He's on his way to Camden N.J. for work leaving his wife and two children behind. He's an engineer working on some pretty cool things. He's got a dream to start a foundation to help foster children who are leaving the foster system and trying to go to college. It's a very noble desire. Please pray for he and his family. Pray the Lord draws them close to Himself and protects them as well as give Kevin wisdom to be a good, godly father and husband. Please also pray that he is able to pull together the outreach that he told me about to be a blessing to the less fortunate. Thanks.
Chang Mai, Thailand - Update from a dear friend in Thailand, please pray!
Greetings,
I just wanted to update everyone about the political situation in Thailand. After all the excitement on Wednesday the army was posted around the city with a city-wide curfew in Chiang Mai (as well as other provinces). Things have quieted considerably (for now). No doubt you will read and hear about more political turmoil since the problem hasn’t been solved, only quieted for the time being.
On a different note, our church is starting a 12 questions campaign in July. This is where we have a “question of the month” and design a newsletter to answer the particular question. The questions are ordered to present the gospel in increments. We tried to develop questions that will directly confront the Thai people with their objections to the gospel. Unfortunately myself and the missionaries attending our church are a bit artistically challenged. If there is anyone reading this that wants to help us with the design of the newsletter (we have the content), we would welcome any input. We will be spending a lot of money to get this printed in a high quality format and we want it to look good. It is a four page, color newsletter. We are presently designing it on Microsoft publisher (simply to help with some sort of format). Please contact me if you’d like to help with this important project. Thanks, and God bless.
For the Lord in Thailand,
Mike Frederick
Lutz, FL - Please pray for Jackie. She was our waitress over lunch and a fantastic lady. She's a single mother, working three jobs to make ends meet and put her son through Christian School. I was so touched by her heart. She shared how her son was being bullied etc. in the school so she had to make the committment to get him into the private school. I see lady's like this working so hard it makes me crazy when I see others working the system to get something for free, almost expecting people to take care of them. Sorry, she works so hard and is an inspiration to me. Please pray for her.
Tampa, FL - Please pray for JS, a young friend of mine. He's got a doctor's appointment coming up to check on a physical condition. Pray the doctor has godly wisdom to know what, if anything, that needs to be done.
Chang Mai, Thailand - From a dear friend in Thailand, please pray!
Greetings from the hornets nest,
I want to assure everyone that our family is safe and sound (for the time being at least). The situation in Bangkok has spread to the outlying provinces as of Wednesday. Chiang Mai, being the second largest city and the home of the former Prime Minister, is having some demonstrations and riots. There have been some reported gunfire near the train station and buildings set on fire. Most of the incidents are isolated to the area near the governor house and the train station, both of which are at least 10 KM from our home. There is a curfew out for the city which will hopefully be lifted soon. Only the Lord knows what is going to happen, but for the time being we are just going to sit tight and continue with the work here. Please pray for safety, wisdom and especially for the country. This has been simmering for some time and has apparently reached the boiling point. I will notify you if there is a serious change in the situation or anything significant changes. As for news sources, there is really nothing I can recommend as the state pretty much controls the news outlets and there are a lot of rumors and misinformation on other “neutral” sites. God is in control. Thanks for your concern and prayers.
Sincerely in Christ,
Mike Frederick
Chiang Mai, Thailand

Las Vegas, NV (4/22/10) - Please pray for David. Read his email below. What a bright shining light he is and an example to all of us. No one deserves your prayers more. Thank you.
Hey Mr. Kerby!
I am a first year student-athlete at Macalester
College in St. Paul, MN. I was referred to you by my high school
Biology teacher, David Kren, from Wisconsin Lutheran HS. I am Lutheran
and have been raised in Christian schooling my whole life. I believe
that God created everything in this world through His almighty power in
the span of 6 days which on the 7th he rested; otherwise, exactly what
the Bible proclaims. However, as I bring this belief to the current
college I attend my beliefs are seen as humorous and even offensive to
the evolutionists “facts” of real science. In my Biodiversity and
Evolution class an entire week was dedicated to “Creationism”. They
portrayed the idea of Creation as literally a joke and it honestly was
poorly taught. It was more of the atmosphere of a stand-up comedy
routine than a science class. I’m not saying the professor did this on
purpose but either way she was not too knowledgeable about what
Creationism actually is. My point in all of this being, what can I do
about my situation? I am here to let my light shine and I really don’t
care if they see me as being a joke if it means standing up for my
beliefs. Although, I’d rather not have them think this because they
idea of Christians is already skewed among the student body. One
further question, my Ecology professor last semester was explaining
that many years ago it was believed that a “bottleneck effect” or the
number of a population significantly dropped and then rose back up,
occurred within humans at one time. I approached him after class and
asked him if he knew what had caused this. When he responded with an
uncertainty I raised the question if he thought that a worldwide flood
was an option. He instantly said that there is no proof that a
worldwide flood ever occurred and that it is not an option at all. I
decided not to respond back immediately so as to gather my facts and
approach him at a more necessary time. What would you suggest I bring
up to his statement that, “there is no proof that a worldwide flood
ever occurred”? I really appreciate any assistance you could provide me
with.
God Bless,
David Melms
Las Vegas, NV (4/22/10) - Please pray for my taxi driver, Seung. He's 67 years old from Korea. Been driving a taxi in Las Vegas for 14 years. Used to be a rich clothing manufacturer in Korea. Lost everything, wife, child, money. I was able to share with him quite a bit. He truly listened and thanked me when we left. Real genuine conversation. Pray the Lord will draw Seung to Himself and restore his relationships with his family!!! He is lonely.
Las Vegas, NV (4/22/10) - Please pray for our waitress, Christy. She and her husband are purchasing a new home, which in the Las Vegas area is a major challenge at the moment. We didn't get to share a lot, but at least she allowed us to pray for her.
Covington, VA (4/21/10) - Could you please pray for a resident at the boys home. His daughter recently was hit by a car and she is in the hospital with a bleeding liver. Pray that God would heal her. The resident Lamont was saved just a few months ago. Please pray for him and her. Her name is Akeia Hall.
URGENT PRAYER REQUEST (4/21/10) - This came in from Ken. My family needs your prayers today. Our adoption to Ghana is on the brink.
We were informed today that Mary, DCFS Illinois and Melissa, Lutheran Social Services would like to meet with us at noon Wednesday.
Background: The judges in Ghana have decided to change the decree wording from “final adoption” to “two year interim”. This means we would have full responsibility for the children but, would not be able to finalize the adoption for two years.
The state (IL DCFS) is not only requiring we have monthly home visits for the two year period ($250 x 24=$6000) but, they are now also requiring our adoption agency to sign a contract relieving the state from any responsibility in case of a disruption and placing full liability on our adoption agency.
We were led to believe that our agency was planning to support us through this two year period. Today, we were informed that the requirements imposed by the state of Illinois are too restrictive and place too much liability on the adoption agency. They have decided that unless Illinois relaxes some of the requirements, they will not be willing to sign a contract with our state. No other state in the union is going to this extreme and I have to say I don’t blame our agency for not agreeing to the requirements.
This will impact all families wishing to adopt from Illinois. We are saddened by this news and ache for the children that will be denied a home in our great state. Our adoption agency will not be allowing any families from IL to adopt from either Ghana or Thailand if this holds.
We contacted Jim Sacia’s office and alerted him of the concern a couple of weeks ago. Michelle was able to speak directly with him at that time. Today we contacted the office once again and mobilized his staff who promised to get on the phone immediately with Mary at IL DCFS. Tomorrow at noon
Prayer Request:
1) That His will be done in this situation,
maybe He has another plan, maybe His plan requires we advocate for future kids,
2) That I can remain calm and courteous during the call and communicate calmly and effectively.
3) That, if it is His will, the hearts of those making the decisions will be softened and an amicable resolution reached that allows us to adopt from Ghana.
4) That regardless of the short term outcome, we will find the reasons to give Him praise.
Our hearts are in Ghana, and it’s hard to believe/accept that we may not have an opportunity to make an impact, ever so small. It is true we can move on to another country without the issues we are facing with Ghana (at least that is true while I type) but, right here, right now, we don’t think we are called to let it go.
He controls all things, He has placed governments in control, He suspends the earth in the heavens, there is no doubt I AM’s will is being accomplished. O Lord, what role do you want me to play? Should I speak or be silent? Should I fight or succumb and obey? Direct our paths.
Chambersburg, PA (4/2/10) - AWESOME night! After speaking for three days and at two different Christian Schools tonight was a very encouraging ending. A number of the high schoolers showed up and I had a LOT of conversations after it was over. I can't begin to relate them all, but will give some key prayer requests fromt the conversations I had.
1. A young man who was raised in the church and went to Christian School came up and told me how he truly struggled with his faith. He is just not coming back and wanted nothing to do with the Church after high school. He fits the research done in the book Already Gone to a "t". He now has a son and was very convicted about not raising his son to have the same type of faith he had growing up. He asked that we pray for him to be a godly father and husband. Really good conversation.
2. A young lady came up to me after the high school seminar and told me how much she appreciated the talks because her brother, who went to the same Christian School, has now rejected Christ because of evolution. She told me that she felt more prepared to speak with him now. Pray the Lord will give her wisdom in dealing with her brother and that he would come to a true, saving knowlege of Christ.
3. Another young man came up and asked for prayer for him. His friend rejects Christianity and uses evolution to justify his position. This young man now wants to have a conversation with him trying a new approach. Instead of apologizing for the Bible he's going to use it as his starting point to show it has answers. That's cool! Pray the Lord will bless this young man's obediance and give him the words to speak. Pray the Holy Spirit would move in his friends life and draw him to Himself.
4. Another young lady came up and shared with me the hurt that she feels because her father is an atheist and is always attacking her faith. Her sister has already rejected everything and has adopter her fathers way of thinking. After thesessions she was so encouraged she' going to speak with both of them. Pray the Lord, again, would work through this young lady's obediance and do something amazing.
5. The young lady's mother from number 4 came up to me and told me, "You have no idea how much you impacted her life." I know it is the Holy Spirit that does the work. It is just a privilege to be allowed to play a part. Pray for this mother who is divorced from this man and is having big struggles. Pray that if it be the Lord's will He will do something amazing, to the point that the former husband receives the Lord and if possible their marriage be restored.
6. A "mature" couple spoke with me about how convicted they were to start sharing their faith after hearing the sessions. When they were eating lunch they were compelled to ask the waitress how they could pray for her. They were overwhelmed by the response. This lady "unloaded" on them. She's a single mother, with two young sons living in her mom's home. She has a lot of issues to deal with and doesn't know where to turn. This couple was so encouraged. They were able to share the Lord with her and invited her to church. They are continuing to reach out to her. Pray the Lord would be ever present in this ladies life and continue to spur this "mature" couple to continue to reach out. They were a blessing to me. He had tears in his eyes when he related this story to me.
7. Another young lady, one of the brightest spirits I've ever met. She spoke with me for a bit after the last session. She struggles with addictive behaviors. She truly is a sweet young lady, I'd ask that you lift her up in a mighty way. Pray the Lord will take away those destructive behaviours and draw her to Himself. Pray the Lord will use what this young lady has experienced to bring many who are struggling with the same issues to Himself. She has that type of personality, Pray she grows strong in the Lord and allows Him to direct her path.

Yale University Hospital (4/6/10) - Please pray for Daniel. He's a 10 year old young man that has a brain tumor. There are only 3 documented cases of this type of cancer in the world. He had 8 major brain surgeries since January for this. He went in for an MRI on Saturday and they discovered that the tumor is back and is as big as it was when they took it out in January. Not good! Please pray for his family as they have to figure out how to deal with this difficult situation. Please pray for the whole families salvation most importantly. If they don't know Christ may He reveal Himself to them even during this difficulty. Please pray for his uncle Bob who needs wisdom to be a good representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. There are still some concerns so please pray the Lord will work this out in a way that there is no doubt He is in control. Whatever decision is made, may the Lord receive glory in honor. Again, we need these young men and women to be bold, shining lights in this dark culture reaching out to their peers.

Pray the Holy Spirit will draw this young man to Himself and make him an amazing witness.

Hebron, KY (2/19/10) - Bob, (update from prayer request on 2/16) called and we had a great conversation. He feels the Lord is leading him to start a ministry to help those who are struggling with the loss of loved ones. He asked if I had any ideas etc. I directed him to a couple of ministries that are doing some good work. Pray the Lord will make it clear what He wants Bob to do and then give Bob the wisdom what direction to go! Very encouraging to hear from Bob and see just how much a simple conversation has encouraged him. SPEAK OUT, you'll be so encouraged that you did!

Hebron, KY, (2/16/10) - My wife and I went looking for some carpet to put in a room in our basement. Went to Home Depot, got some ideas. Then stopped at a tiny store on our way home. There we met Bob, nice man, really made us feel at ease because he asked good questions and found the carpet that I think really fits our needs and budget. As we were checking out we just got into a "conversation". This was a divine appointment. Bob is a Christian who is hurting right now. He lost his daughter last December I think it was. She had met a guy who's family is hooked on Oxycotton???. He got her started taking this and it cost her her life. His mother is struggling with lung cancer and he had been layed off from work, so things are coming hot and heavy at him. Masami and I could pray for him and just encourage him. It's very easy to say, I know, but these things actually prepare us to be able to offer hope to others. Sometimes the only way to get through these times is to let the Lord carry us. It was a real blessing to just spend time and encourage this brother. Please pray, he's struggling with being able to forgive the young man who got his daughter hooked on the drugs. Pray that the Lord would use him to reach this young man with the saving knowlege of Jesus Christ. Thank you for praying.

Decatur, AL, (2/15/10) - Holly asked that we pray for her grand-daughter Courtney. She's been raising her for a while now, bad story. She was a really sweet lady and we were able to encourage her I think. Before we took off I was able to give her some children's books for Courtney. She nearly started crying. Seemed like a tiny thing! You just never know what folks are going through and to be able to encourage someone like that, well, it's just a blessing. Please pray for her.
Decatur, AL, (2/14/10) - Jessica asked that we pray for her family. She didn't elaborate and we didn't get a chance to really ask any further questions.

Dr. and Mrs. Moore - What a gentleman! He prays an hour a day for folks, by name, including Masami and I. What a blessing. His wife has very bad arthritis and couldn't come to dinner. She's been suffering with this since the 90's. He didn't complain at all and didn't even ask that we pray for him or her. I'm asking! Please lift this dear couple up in prayer. She's only left the house twice this winter since the cold really bothers her. Sweet folks.
Elizabeth and her Grandmother Norene - Norene has a blood clot and they thought they were going to have to operate. She raised Elizabeth, who we met and asked that we pray for her grandmother. Thailand, (2/9/10)
Mike, and Family - Mike is the first person that I shared with that came to the Lord. We fell out of contact because he was moved to Okinawa and I stayed in Salt Lake City. Years later we got back in touch and he blessed me with where the Lord has taken him. He's now retired from the USAF, where we met, and is a full-time missionary to Thailand. He sent me this update and I wanted to share it with you, it's so encouraging. Thanks for praying for this dear man and his family. If you'd like you can go to his website to follow their ministry.
Praise the Lord. I mentioned some potential good news in a previous mailing and wanted to share with an answer to prayer. Dtom, who we have been praying to be saved for many years, has been saved! She has been struggling for some time about salvation. As a word of encouragement, she shared with me that she had been to church when she was a child and always knew the truth of the gospel because of the stories she heard as a child. We are privileged to be able to reap what someone planted many years ago. Perhaps today there is a dejected Christian worker who feels that their ministry is in vain and yet their work has born fruit. Please pray for her as she is planning to be baptized on the 28th of February. On another note, we will be holding our first Bible Institute graduation in March when Sakhorn will be recognized. He has diligently studied for about 4 years and we are excited about the next chapter in his life and how the Lord will lead and continue to prepare him.

Pastor Mike - (2/4/10) - I should have lifted Pastor Mike up a while ago. He's my pastor and I love him dearly. Each of us should lift up our Pastor in prayer on a regular basis. They deal with so much I just can't imagine how they do it. Only through the grace and strength of God I would imagine.
Dick S. - (2/3/10) - Dick's wife, Patty, is VERY sick. It looks as if the Lord is going to call her home at anytime. Please lift Dick up, he's a good man and this is very difficult for him. She's been struggling with cancer for a while now.
Temporary Workers - (2/3/10) - We have a number of temporary workers at the ministry who are doing a LOT of work. They've been sitting in on our morning devotionals. I don't know what their spiritual health is like, please pray that they Lord will draw them to Himself if they don't know Him or encourage them if they do know Him. I'd also ask that you pray they are able to find full-time work. I can only imagine how many folks are struggling to take care of their families, bills etc. in this economy. Lots of folks need prayers here. Blessings.

Her health took a bad downturn and now she's in critical condition. Her major prayer is that her daughters come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour. I'd also ask for healing for Sheila. She's a truly sweet lady.

David Hames (1/22/10) - This is from a dear friend, Jobe Martin. Please join us in prayer for a miracle that David Hames (the actor/host in the “Incredible Creatures That Defy Evolution" series) is still alive under the rubble of Hotel Montana in Haiti and that he will be rescued. It is possible that he still had bottles of water in his backpack when trapped; his friend was pulled alive from near where David was suppose to be 60 hours after the quake. For more information, Google David Hames in Haiti without quotation marks. He has a wife, Renee, and two boys ages 3 and 5. (Thank you!)

Pray he'll be able to visit the Creation Museum as well.

Pray for them as they start this new job. Very sad to see folks that want to work and not be able to do so. He's got a wife and family with him as well. They were so excited about being able to work. Don't take your job for granted!

Richard (1/16/10) - Another amazing opportunity. Over dinner we asked Richard how we could pray for him. He asked for his health. He then stayed and held hands with us as we prayed over dinner and for him. Pray for his salvation if he's not saved. We didn't get to speak deeply with him. He wanted to stay and pray with us though. As a minimum pray he's encouraged and emboldened to share his faith if he is a Christian or that the Lord would open his eyes to the truth if he's not saved. Blessings.

He lost his fiancee about 6 months ago when she died only 4 days after being diagnosed with cancer. Very rapid and very traumatic for him. He's grounded but, it still hurts. We talked for almost 20 minutes with Rob, so encouraging. Pray that we were an encouragement to him as well.
Fort Myers, FL
Robert (1/16/10) - Picked up the rental car from him. As we were leaving had a very short conversation. He asked if we were there to fish and I said that I was there to preach and fish for men. He asked that we pray for his people. He's Haitian. I told him we would. He asked if I had any information. I'm so embarrassed. I usually have some booklets, today, NONE! Zach, the young man with me pulled out his Bible and we gave it to him. I also gave him my email. Pray for his salvation, protection for the folks in Haiti, and that he'd get in touch so that I can follow up. I wanted so badly to continue our conversation but there were cars behind us. AAARGH! PLEASE PRAY!

"They were getting off at our interchange and turning towards our home when a guy in a Ford F150 hit them in the side, running the red light. If they had been a split second slower, he would have hit them in the two doors, likely causing very serious injuries to my daughters. Instead, he hit them in the left rear wheel doing little damage to our car. It likely totaled his pickup caving the entire front end in. It spun my girls around 90 degrees. Jill has some whiplash and Mary's left elbow got a mild contusion
Carl, me, (12/23) - I just found out that I will be on TBN in March with Kirk Cameron when he hosts a show. He was very kind in asking me to be on the show with him. Pray for this please. Millville, NJ
Robin (12/6) - She was caught off-guard by the request. It was a little funny. She said, "I would take all day with everything that I've got!" I was like, well, I don't speak until 7 pm tonight! Finally she asked we pray for her family, lots of issues there. It's really sad to see so many families that are broken. We really need the Holy Spirit to do an amazing work in our lives, there is so much hurt in the culture. We can let these "hurts" destroy us or "draw us" closer to Christ and in the process make us more effective to reach others who are hurting. Stay bold.

He has to have a camera on his bus because they are so bad. He truly wants direction and wisdom on how to reach these young folks. Good man, please lift him up.
Geneva (11/29) - Wow! Great conversation with Geneva. She asked that we pray for her because she's trying to make changes in her life and get back on the 'straight and narrow', so to speak. At the end of the meal Pastor Jerry was able to really engage her in some good conversation. Pray the Lord would lead her to Pastor Jerry's church, or at a minimum a good Bible teaching church, and that she'd take me up on the offer to show her around the Creation Museum.

Hen (10/18)
- The host couple that I'm staying with took me to dinner after speaking. This is a place the frequent every Sunday they said. As we sat down they talked about how they should ask the waiter, Jeff, if we could pray for him. The timing just didn't work with him but, when Hen brought the food out Marge asked him how we could pray for him. Again, surprise on his part but, after a little thought he asked for "peace of mind and health". They see him a lot and will be able to follow up with him. Jeff they had never seen before. My prayer is that they'll be able to establish a relationship with Hen and bring him to the Lord. Lift Jon and Marge up as well to be used by the Lord to reach this young man.
Karen (10/18)
- She was also surprised. You can tell no one has done this sort of thing here in the Philippines. After a minute or so she asked for prayer for her family as well. I asked if they had been impacted by the flooding. She laughed and said "No!" "The water only got to their knees, their other friends water was over their head so we're fortunate." You'd be surprised at the resilience of the people here. They're talking about the tragedies that are taking place and they're laughing! Very interesting to see "take joy is distresses" being lived out! I asked her to come to the speaking event as well. Pray she comes tomorrow.
Noel (10/17)
- He was also surprised when we asked if we could pray for him. He asked for prayer for his family who have been impacted by the flooding. Also invited him to the speaking event. I wasn't able to follow up with him at the end of the dinner which I like to do because another waiter took his place. I'm assuming his shift ended because we didn't see Noel anymore after the initial order. Pray for his salvation as well.
Cyr (10/17)
- He was pretty surprised when we asked if we could pray for him. He just laughed but, we told him we were serious so he then asked for prayer for the Philippines. He stood with us while we prayed. That's only the fourth time in over 10 years of praying for servers
that's happened. After the meal she asked where we went to church and
shared how her family is very faithful in going to church and that she
had just recently started going to church herself. I had the chance to
encourage her to keep her focus on Jesus and not the church. He's
perfect, not us. Please pray she'll find that body of Christ that God
wants her to be a part of and she'll grow strong and bold in the Lord
there.
