Ankeny IA and Dr. John Whitcomb!

Students from Elam College while I was in Rochester NY!
A lot to tell you about this week! First, I've got to update you on the results of the "Worldview Survey" for this week! This week I just wanted to have some fun so the question was, "Who Would Win in a Fight, Superman vs. Ultraman?" The results, drum roll please! 47.8% said Superman!!!!
Now, I have to admit that I agree. The problem is that I had so many of the responders say, "Who's Ultraman?" Are you kidding me! Ultraman is the best! I'm a huge Ultraman geek, got every episode made! One person had the audacity to say, and I quote, "Because ultraman was just plain goofy!" What???? Ultraman, was the man! For those of you who don't know who Ultraman is, check this out! Then tell me you think Ultraman is "goofy"! When I got to Japan it looked exactly like I had seen in the Ultraman shows growing up.
On the other side, one person who said that Ultraman would have won made the comment, "Because "ultra" is the superlative of "super"!" Huh! You guys are way too smart for me! Regardless, there's a new survey up here, take part in it!
Last night was really funl. I got to have dinner with my brother Stephen. Please pray for he and his wife Amber. They are in the process of moving to New Hampshire. Moving is never easy so they'd appreciate your prayers. Also, pray for my daughter in law, Tish, and her family. Her grandmother passed away a couple of days ago. This is always a challenge as well. Please go to the Prayer Warrior site when you feel like praying. These are real requests that I get from all over, not just my family. These two just happen to be a couple that I'm mentioning.
This weekend is awesome! Anyone who has been interested in the Creation vs. Evolution debate for any amount of time knows a few names. Dr. Henry Morris, Dr. Duane Gish and Dr. John Whitcomb. These are men who laid the foundation to what we are doing today in my humble opinion. Especially Dr. Morris and Dr. Whitcomb. Their book, The Genesis Flood, which was published the year that I was born, is credited with starting the modern creation movement. I have GREAT respect for these men. Well, I got to share a speaking event with Dr. Whitcomb in Ankeny, Iowa. How cool is that! Dr. Whitcomb is such a Bible scholar, man, I wish I had half his knowledge!
I got to speak at Faith Baptist Bible College at the Chapel this morning, that was very encouraging. Really good responses from these young folks. We so badly need these young men and women sold out for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Speak tomorrow to finish the Men for Christ conference and then hopefullly going to play some disc golf with my brother for the first
time of this new year. I'll let you know how I do, it could be bad! I've not played for a few months. Looking forward to being outside again because I'm NOT a winter guy! Bring on the spring!
Also, another man that I GREATLY respect, Dr. David Menton, has a new DVD out. Does Biology Make Sense Without Evolution? You've got to check it out. He talks about the complexity of a single human hair on this DVD. It's mindblowing how complex a SINGLE hair is. He's got such a dry sense of humor, I just love him as a presenter and as a brother in Christ. I tell folks this all the time and they think I'm joking, but I'm not! We talked about mucus for 30 minutes . . . and it was COOL! Don't get him started on ear-wax! That's even more unbelieveable!!!!
If you've not gone to the I am not Ashamed! website yet and uploaded your video entry to be a part of the world's first online Bible, do it! This is such a tremendous outreach.
I'll be going to England in a few weeks. Below is an article that is in their latest newsletter. I'm excited about this opportunity to minister there. Really hoping to be an encouragement to the folks that are working there on a regular basis. This is a tough country to be a Christian in. Please pray for them as well!

Don't want to give you too much so I'll stop here. I've got a picture that I'll share with you next week and a sweet story of some dear friends that had a huge impact on my life while I was in high school. Anyway, stay bold, share the truth with someone, love on your family because life goes by way to quickly and none of us are guaranteed another second! Blessings.
Carl k.
