Buford, GA

Busy week!  Last Friday I got to show my friend around the museum, I'll let you figure out who that is.  Had a great time, these are some real good folks.  He's been gracious enough to even shoot an endorsement for seminars that I do.

On Saturday I left for Buford, GA for three days of ministry.  I didn't take any pictures.  I've been getting so busy while on the road that I don't have time to take them.  I've got some coming from my buddy Neal, his wife Deb took some and will email them to me shortly then I'll put them up.

Anyway, spoke at a Calvary Chapel there.  Did I tell you that I really enjoy Calvary Chapels?  I really do.  I don't think I've ever had a bad reception in a Calvary.  This was no different.  Saturday night went very well and Sunday even better.  I was told that this was the first time they ever filled the sanctuary.  Cool!  They had folks standing at the back of the room leaning against the wall.  Afterward the conversations were fantastic.  A number of the young folks spoke with me and that is encouraging.  We need that generation excited about their faith so badly.  Many of them had heard me speak earlier in the year at the Creation Museum so they were already familiar with the message.

While there I stayed with some very dear friends who very graciously opened their home to me.  They have some of the best children you'll ever meet in your life.  We got to visit with some of their friends that attended the meetings aftwerwards.  These were great opportunities and a time that I won't soon forget.  It's very exciting when you see folks start to understand that their faith isn't based on just so stories.  Hard to explain!

Monday morning I got to speak to a Christian school.  The first group was K - 4th graders.  It was sooo funny.  After I spoke the Principal stood up and asked if the children were ready to go back to class.  They all said, "NO!  Can he speak again."  I laughed out loud at that.  They ended up staying to hear the talk for the high schoolers.  I didn't think they would understand it.  How wrong I was!  As I asked questions during the talk about points that I was speaking about they 3rd and 4th graders were answering!  Including questions on radio-metric dating.  The children understand so much more than we give them credit for.

After the school I had lunch with some friends.  We had a 'Messy Burger'!  Trust me, it lived up to its name.  Good burger, just . . . messy!  Ran to the airport and got home just in time to go to my works Christmas dinner.

Tuesday had a meeting for the www.daretoask.org website.  It's going to be upgraded in the near future, Lord willing.

Today was a good day.  Worked on the new talks.  Took my wife to dinner and celebrated my daughter-in-laws birthday.  Very nice to have all the family together.  Also, I can now share the cool news.  My wife and I are going to be grandparents!  My son and daughter-in-law are going to have a baby.  The big challenge is what to be called.  I'm leaning toward "Grampa Carl"!  Whadaya think?  Shoot me an email and give me feedback!

As a minimum stay bold for your faith.  It was so nice to be able to pray for our server tonight.  She was very genuine in her request for a new job and desire to come visit the Creation Museum.  Please go to the prayer section and lift folks up!

Blessings,

Carl k.
