Another quick update!

Got to a spot with internet, only problem is that we've got to leave very shortly!  It really is a busy schedule, sorry for the sporadic updates.  It's gone great since we left Saidaiji.  We went to Kanazawa where we spoke to the AWANA group and the church.  GREAT feedback and responses.  The key really is the translator.  Masami is doing a fantastic job.  She was so nervous about this but, she is awesome.  She's able to communicate more of my personality and it's working.  Pray for the pastor in Kanazawa.  He's looking to retire within the next couple of years and really wants clear direction for the person who's to take over and where they will go to live etc.  He's got to leave the area because he's been there for over 35 years and by staying there it will undermine the new pastor.  These guys are amazing!  While there Pastor Yokoyama took us to a Japanese park.  Wow!  It was a beautiful place.  See below!

After Kanazawa we went to Yokaichi where we met back up with Horikoshi-sensei and his dear wife.  The first thing they did was take us to lunch at a 'tonkatsu' shop.  They were closed when we got there but opened up for us.  Unbelieveable service.  Awesome food!  The photo above is the manager who was so kind to us.  When we left he gave us extra Japanese pickles to take with us!  We came late and they treated us like kings!!  So different from other spots I've been!

Yokaichi went really well.  One of the 'Congressmen' actually attended the meeting.  He's NOT a Christian but, he was there because Horikoshi-sensei is trying to build a new building and has been in contact with him.  Pray this meeting will cause him to think about what is really important.  We were able to meet up with some old friends, the Hasegawa's, who are sweet people.  We spoke at his church last year and his son lived with us for a while when he volunteered at AiG.  Really good to see them.  Below is a picture of Horikoshi-sensei and his wife.  They took us up a STEEP mountain on a cable car.  Beautiful!

At the top of the mountain I had to take a picture of Masami and myself.  She's been by my side for over 27 years now!  She needs your prayers!  I've put here through a lot during that time.  It's not been boring for sure.

I need a haircut, bad!!!!  Anyway, we left Yokaichi yesterday and got to Kawasaki, just like the motorcycle.  Spoke last night to a great audience.  A LOT of young people, that was really encouraging.  The Q & A session afterwards was awesome!  Great conversations as well.  Pastor Cho was another amazing host.  He came to breakfast this morning and really encouraged us.  He got a lot of very good feedback and was really happy.  The door is open to come back for sure.

We leave now for Yokohama where we'll be for 2 days and then to Sapporo.  It's almost over!  Only 3 more talks to give!  To be honest I'm looking forward to getting home.  Your prayers are always appreciated.  Anyway, stay bold!  Let me know how I can pray for you.  Blessings,

ck
