The Rest of the Story!

I'm not trying to 'rip off' Paul Harvey, I'm just giving you the 'rest of the story' that I started telling you on Facebook over the weekend. I'm in Augusta Georgia visiting a friend. He's got an amazing pond where we go fising. (See above.)  We get on the lake by 6 am and started fishing.

Our host caught the first fish, then my buddy, Neal, caught the next fish. I was getting worried. Finally, I caught the third fish! (See below!)

I can't remember the correct sequence but, it went something like this, I caught another fish . . .

  My buddy fished!

  I caught another . . .

  And another . . .

You get the picture! Meanwhile, my buddy Neal is getting skunked. I started feeling bad for him.  Well, that's not really the truth.  I should have felt bad for him but I didn't.  I was enjoying catching fish too much.  In the end he caught another fish,

and in full disclosure he PROBABLY caught the biggest fish of the day.  At the end of the day though we tallied it up.  I caught around 12 fish, our host around 8 and my buddy Neal, 2!  All in all, we can't complain.  Any day spent on a pond fishing is a good day.  I get to do this about 1 time a year and really enjoy it.

On Saturday Neal and I went to Atlanta Fest to see a friend.  Quite an experience.  I think I'm getting old.  One of the singers shouted out, "Shake your bootie for Jesus!".  ????  I'm still trying to figure that one out!

It was great seeing some of the youth that I spoke with a few months ago and catch up.  These are some very sharp young folks and I'm looking forward to being with them next year, Lord willing.

Sunday morning Neal and I got up early and flew back to Cincy to have lunch with my boss, Ken Ham.  He's preparing for a big "State of the Nation" meeting this Thursday so he had to take off after lunch to prepare.  My family took me out to eat Korean food for Father's Day that night.  I like Korean food!  We had a really nice time and I sincerely enjoyed that time with the family.

Today Neal and I met with Pastor Crook from Blackshear Place and his family.  They are in town for the Southern Baptist Convention this week in Louisville.  We spent the day showing them around the Creation Museum and had a blast.  Their children really enjoyed the time, especially the petting zoo.

I had to do a radio interview for an hour during this that went really well.  I'll also be doing another 30 minute show just before the above mentioned "State of the Nation" address this Thursday.  What an honor!  This is going across the globe via onenewsnow.net as well as on SkyAngel and other outlets.  Please pray for us.

Tomorrow I've got another group that I'll show around the Creation Museum then I leave for the SBC Convention where I'll stay until Wednesday night.  Thursday another HUGE opportunity to show another group of Pastors around the Creation Museum.  This weekend I speak in a local church so I don't have to travel, which is nice.

Everything considered, it's a pretty full week.  God is good and I'm excited to be a part of what's going on.  I got a very cool e-mail that I'll share with you.

Hello, Carl
Just caught the tail end of you live on AFR talk radio.  I can tell you are on the top of your game.
I have spent the last three Sundays at my own church teaching the Genesis Flood to a class of senior men
probably 62 to 80 years old.  They have been "eating it up!"  Talk about a lively and interactive group - they ARE!
Hey, I'm takin' it wherever I can! Why sit idle... ever!

It is so cool to see folks involved in sharing their faith and the love of Christ.  Don't let the world lie to you, read a great book a long time ago entitled, "What if Jesus Had Never Been Born?".  Praise God He loves us and did come to this earth to die for every person that ever lived.  He's changed my life and countless others.  I pray your faith is one that causes you to be bold and won't let you "sit idle... ever!".

God bless you!  God is good, all the time.

Oh they looked like you kept catching the same fish ;-) The "leave the fish on your hook and make it look like a new fish trick" ;-) if only I could catch ONE FISH I might be able to pull that off myself. And yeah I cant see you "shaking your booty for Jesus". Im sure he'd appreciate the effort though :-) Love you man and love the blogs. keep up the good work! skerby
